The handsome actor, who has recently appeared in Love Child, will be back for one of Nina Proudman’s (played by Asher Keddie) trademark fantasy sequences.

And the topic of the fantasy? Sperm.

On Wednesday night's episode, Patrick’s ex-wife Jodie arrived at St Francis Hospital to tell Nina that Patrick had preserved some of his sperm before he died and offered it to her.

Jodie explained that when she was married to Patrick he preserved some it and seeing as Nina already has a daughter with him, Zoe, is giving her the opportunity to use it.

With the episode ending with a shocked Nina debating what to do next week's fantasy sequence will see the busy actor and Nina discuss whether to have more children.

Matt's character died at the end of the fourth season of the show and we're still trying to recover emotionally from seeing a pregnant Nina farewell her partner.

Speaking about his return to the show, Matt said: “I’ve been a huge fan of the show (Offspring) since before I joined and continue to be to this day."

“To step back onto their set and work with Asher again was an opportunity I could not pass up. The cast and crew feel like family to me and I was absolutely thrilled to be asked back.”
