Calvin Harris drops Taylor Swift 'revenge' song

Calvin Harris has released the much-anticipated music video for Olé, the song he reportedly wrote about his break-up with Taylor Swift.

It was reported that Calvin, who collaborates on the song with John Newman filmed the video for Olé the week of June 28, the very same week that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were pictured on a romantic holiday in Rome.

The song, which is written from a man's point of view, tells the story of a girl in a relationship who's secretly texting another man.

The song caused a stir when it was released because it featured the lyrics: "I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend.

"You've hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you've been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel."

It also includes the line: "Low key you won't tell none of your friends about me."

It was reported at the time that it was Harris' attempt at a revenge song, after Swift broke up with him and moved on with Tom Hiddleston just two weeks later, parading their love for each other all over the world.

However if you were looking for a juicy break-up video full of hidden messages and angst, then you might be sadly disappointed as the video for the song is pretty mild.

The only slight shade we see from the video is the part where Harris is filmed talking to two ladies while sitting on a rock, a move which is reminiscent of the pictures taken of Swift and Hiddleston's loving embrace by the sea sitting on a rock.

Harris also walks down the beach (something Taylor obviously likes to do) and he sits with his squad on chairs, just like Taylor and her gang did on Independence Day.

Overall, Harris looks thriving in the video and we couldn't be happier for him.

The ball's in your court Taylor.
