The stars of Thor: Ragnorok are in town to film the latest installment of the franchise, and luckily for us, Sunrise stalked the set so we could watch Tom and Chris' every move.

Brissy correspondent Michelle Tapper had the super fun job of attempting to grab the attention of the movie stars.

"Go and jump the fence," advised Kochie to his Sunrise co-star.

Something tells us that wouldn't have gone down overly well...

However, after much shouting and fanfare, Michelle managed to convince Tom and Chris to turn around and wave to the camera.

Hello boys.

Filming proved to be quite disruptive for the streets of Brisbane CBD.

Parts of Mary Street, Margaret Street and Albert Street have been blocked off in order to make way for the movie.

The road closures sparked chaos for commuters on their way to work. Delays of up to half an hour were reported, with traffic backed up about 6km to Annerley. Well, we can't say we're surprised - we always knew Chris Hemsworth was capable of stopping traffic.

Also starring in Thor: Ragnorok are Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Jeff Goldblum.

Hemsworth hinted that the latest Thor film will be packed with adventure, and, surprisingly, humour.

"Man, it is a lot of fun. I think tonally it’s a big shift in a great way, more than anything we’ve seen before," he said to Comicbook.com.

"Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, he’s just an incredible sort of comedic talent a lot of heart in everything he does."

He added: "It’s a very different Thor, it’s a different Loki; we go off on another world that we haven’t experienced before. It’s fun, but that’s me skirting around the issue because I can’t say too much."
