Kyle Sandilands fat shames Jackie O over ‘Shallow Hal’ weight

Kyle and Jackie O have a “fat club” going at the moment with some of their KIIS 1065 crew, in an effort to encourage each other to avoid treats.

But although they say it’s just a bit of fun, Jackie Henderson seems to be bearing the grunt of it from her outspoken co-host Kyle Sandilands - who even got actor Patrick Dempsey involved in the taunting!

The latest dig happened during their interview with Bridget Jones’s Baby co-stars Renee Zellweger and Patrick who brought Jackie, 41, some hot chips.

“I’ve brought you a little present…I’ve brought you hot chips,” Patrick says in the video above. “These are so delicious.”

Jackie then starts groaning, and says, “Patrick, don’t! You know I’m on a diet!”

Renee, 47, then tucks in to the chips, as Jackie yells, “Renee, Renee…Don’t do it!”

Later in the segment, Patrick, 50, asked the radio host how long she’s been living without her favourite junk food.

“It’d be about two and a half weeks now,” she replied sadly. “The smell of hot chips is my favourite thing.”

The 45-year-old shock jock then chimed in: “Don’t bring [that] in. Remember the movie Shallow Hal? That’s what we were dealing with three months ago here with Jackie. So, she’s doing extremely well.”

“We’ve got a fat club going here,” Jackie explained after laughing at Kyle’s remark. “We’ve all put in money and whoever loses the most weight at the end of eight weeks wins the money. It’s about $550.”

Be caught up with the Bridget Jones co-stars earlier this week find out what it was like working together.

“We wasted so much time. It was your fault,” Renee told Patrick about not being able to keep a straight face during filming.

“It was fun getting Colin [Firth] to laugh,” the actor, best known as 'Dr. McDreamy' from his Grey's Anatomy days, revealed.

And despite nailing her British accent in the films, Renee admitted it wasn’t an easy thing to do.

“I had so much help!” she said. “I had a cool red-headed lady standing by ready to smack me!”

Fortunately for Patrick, he plays an American called Jack Qwant in the film.

“I was the American, I didn’t have to work so much,” he said. “My British accent is terrible. I did the Importance of Being Earnest and one of my reviews was that my accent wasn’t so good.

“It’s a real challenge and a real art to get that accent correct.”

Ed Sheeran also made a brief cameo in the third instalment of the movie franchise.

“He was very difficult,” Patrick, 50, joked. “You know how rock stars can be, unpredictable, late… I actually didn’t have any scenes with him!” LOL!

Bridget Jones's Baby hits Australian cinemas on September 15, 2016.
