Is Serena Williams the most awkward twerker of all time?

No disrespect to Serena Williams - lady is a total queen - but her latest 'twerking' vid has got Twitter in a tiz..

Mainly because people are confused as to what she's actually attempting to do.

The clip shows the tennis star out in NYC when Juvenile's Back That Azz Up comes on (obviously twerking was obligatory for the tune).

A bystander filmed Serena twerking and sure enough, the video began to make its way across the web.

But twitter users were pretty cruel about her, let's go with 'unique', twerking style.

"Serena Williams, I love u & you're a great role model & athlete. But chiiillleee u cannot twerk. U look like you're having a seizure," wrote one user.

Another tweeted: "Serena twerk like she gotta pee and it's a long line."

And the comments kept rolling in.

"Is she in need of a doctor or a priest?," questioned one user.

Another wrote: "I really wish Serena Williams would stop twerking. Like sis,it's not happening."

Yeesh!

This isn't the first time Serena has shown of her twerkin' moves.

In a video for SELF Serena shows us how to perfect the art of twerking.

She says, “Knees bent, get low,” as she slides her hands down to her knees.

The tennis star then holds her lower back and lower abs telling the audience to be, “tight here and here" (referring to the abs and back).

Okaaaaaay then.
