Rob & Blac on why they’ll never double date with Kylie and Tyga

Rob Kardashian and his new fiancé Blac Chyna have given their first interview together to promote their new E! reality TV show, Rob & Chyna.

Speaking with PEOPLE, the pair open up about their relationship and the controversy they caused with the Kardashian klan - as Chyna’s baby daddy Tyga is Rob’s younger sister Kylie’s boyfriend.

“Every family is going to be defensive in the beginning: I don’t care who you are or what the situation is. They’re going to be protective. Everything is positive now,” Chyna spills.

“I see my family on a daily basis. Being with Chyna has brought all of us closer together,” Rob, 29, chimes in.

But don’t expect to see them on a double date with Kylie and Tyga any time soon!

“No [we’re not going to hang out with them], but everyone is super comfortable,” says Chyna. “There’s no animosity. We’ve all talked. I’ve met up with Kylie.

“I feel comfortable with Kylie being around my son, King, and I’m sure Tyga feels comfortable having King around Rob. Everybody is mature. We’re not holding grudges. We’ve moved on.”

What’s more, Rob discusses his ‘dark time’ while battling his weight woes and also reveals why he missed his sister Kim’s Florence wedding to Kanye West in 2014.

“I’m upset I missed my sister’s wedding, but it was a personal decision,” he says. “I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable.

“There were cameras at the airport on our trip and I was very unhappy with the person I saw in all the pictures. I’m 6’1 [1.85m] and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs [136kg].”

Rob kept out of the public eye for nearly two years, and in that time his stepdad Caitlyn Jenner transitioned into a woman, his brother-in-law Lamar Odom nearly died and his other ‘brother-in-law’ Scott Disick fell off the wagon.

“There’s definitely been a lot going on with the males in our family,” he continues. “That’s why we have a lot of strong women.

“Chyna’s a strong woman. But I don’t feel abandoned. Everybody has their own issues. As long as Caitlyn is happy, I’m happy. I know how it can be to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. All I want is for Lamar to be healthy. Even Scott.”

The star credits Chyna, 28, for ‘saving his life’.

“I’ve been friend with Chyna for a long time. She was someone I reached out to for advice. She would cook for me and we’d just talk,” he adds. “She surrounded me with a lot of positivity.”
