Who will win The Bachelor? Here are our predictions... based on the evidence so far

Rachael and Faith both left the mansion this week on The Bachelor, which means we are finally up to the top three.

So who do the ousted bachelorettes think will take home the coveted final rose? While Faith is still undecided between Nikki and Alex, Rachael is convinced that Nikki is The One for Richie.

"I’ve had the gut feeling since I met [Nikki]," Rachael told Woman's Day. "I can see the connection. He digs Nikki!"

Be has dug through all the evidence we have so far to determine this season's official frontrunners set to winThe Bachelor... from the picks of the ousted contestants to the bookie faves and all the rumours - scroll down for our predictions.

Just try and prove us wrong, Bachie.

Alex: Top two for sure!

What the Bachie girls say:

According to Sportsbet, Alex is the top contender to win. But most of the girls who have since left the house think she'll come second to Nikki.

The girls who think Alex is in with a shot include: Tiffany, Mia and Aimee, who also chose Nikki as her hottest contender.

Meanwhile, Marja thinks she’s a sure bet, telling Popsugar, “In my opinion, top three or four."

Fan theories:

Olena: Totally set for top three...

What the Bachie girls say:

Intruder Steph said after her exit from the mansion that Olena is in with a chance to win Bachelor Richie’s affections. But she also picked Faith and Alex as strong contenders.

Ousted contender Keira also thinks the Ukrainian beauty has it in the bag, but Olena is not exactly the bookies fave - the Sydneysider is currently placed third on the online betting site.

Fan theories:

Nikki: Come one...she's obviously got this

Ladies and gentlemen, the Be team's top contender is Nikki Grogan...and she's already dropped the L-word, so it's pretty much signed, sealed and delivered at this point.

What the Bachie girls say:

Kiki told Popsugar that Nikki seems “quietly confident” that she’s got this.

“She was the first date and the whole way through, never once did I see a bead of sweat on her brow at the cocktail parties,” she told the site.

Sophie, who was booted earlier in the season, told Elle: “I think Nikki will win. First to meet him, first date… I just think they would make a really beautiful couple.”

Even Alex told Who Magazine that her pick to win (well, if she doesn’t that is), would be Nikki.

“I think she makes sense [with him],” she told the mag. “She’s gorgeous. Lovely. Great heart and from WA, so there doesn’t need to be any big adjustments.”

Other girls to pick Nikki as the frontrunner include: Marja, Aimee and Noni, who says Alex is also in with a shot.

Rumour has it:

According to Sportsbet, Nikki will come in second.

In the meantime, Nikki’s use of present tense in her responses to an NW Q&A also led people to believe she has already won.

“I wouldn’t say I’m falling in love yet,” she said. “But I think there’s definitely potential there and I’m excited to see what happens next.

She added: “I don’t second guess anything he says to me. Everything he says to me I believe and trust and he hasn’t given me any reason to question what he’s said so far.”

The 28-year-old has claimed that her ex-fiancé, Tim Verlinden, has placed a $1000 bet on her to win and stands to take home $9000 if she's the one to take home the final rose.

What's even more surprising is that Tim has previously said that his ex was only on the reality show for the "fame".

"It is disappointing he’d say that, but we don’t hate each other and I know he wishes me all the best," Nikki recently told TV Week.

"Tim actually put $1000 on me to win when I was paying $9, so he stands to win $9000. So, if he’s backing me to win, he can’t think I’m that bad."

Despite the former couple are also still in the process of settling their joint assets, Nikki went on to say she didn't think Tim really meant what he said about her only using the Network Ten series for fame.

"I think people who’ve interviewed him have asked questions without him even being aware he’s actually being interviewed. I do feel sorry for him. To be fair, he didn’t ask for all this and for people to be asking him stuff about me," she continued.

Nikki and Tim ended their 12 year relationship last year, with the real estate agent applying for The Bachelor the same week she was meant to get married.

Fan theories:

Of all the ladies, Nikki by far has the most support on Twitter...

Former The Bachelor contestant and The Bachelorette star Sam Frost has an even more compelling theory that she's the winner, based on her social media hiatus.

Hmmm...Interesting.

The Bachelor airs Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7:30pm on Network Ten.
