SPLITSVILLE! All the Married At First Sight couples broke up

It looked as though all the contestants on Married At First Sight had found their happy ending, with all three remaining couples choosing to stay together during the finale on Tuesday night.

However the wedded bliss didn't seem to last past the last rolling camera, with it confirmed that every couple have instead chosen to go their separate ways, TheFix have confirmed.

The publication spoke to the final six about their newly single life and why their "marriages" didn't work out.

Keller and Nicole: Both single

Speaking to TheFix, Keller said he still believes he and Nicole are "meant to be together" and holds hope that they will rekindle their love, as he's still in love with the 28-year-old.

"She's the one that I want," he said. "I feel like we are meant to be together, but I don't know if now is the right time."

He added the item have been "on and off" since filming wrapped six months ago, and they got "close again" after watching an episode together. However it's Nicole who doesn't want things to go any further.

"I honestly do not have a bad word to say about her," he added.

"I still have heavy, heavy feelings for her, but it's just really hard when she's indecisive. I said to her the other day, 'It's really unfair on me to be going through this – I can't keep going like this.'"

As for Nicole's side of the story, the primary school teacher doesn't have much hope when it comes to a reunion.

"While we connected on a lot of levels – like we could have a good laugh together, and we have similar morals and values – there were just some behaviours that I couldn't get past," Nicole said.

"Also, we struggled to connect because I've already established my career. I'm very stable and independent, whereas I feel like he's not quite there at that stage of his life yet."

She added that the 26-year-old needs to work on his "conflict resolution" skills and that she tried to help him deal with things in a more constructive way.

"I did recommend that he sees someone and talk about things, but at the end of the day, that's his decision how he deals with that."

Although saying she'll never get back together, Nicole insists the pair are still friends, but she is taking a break from dating.

"I'm happily single at the moment. I think that after being on such an amazing rollercoaster, I need to take some time for myself," Nicole added.

Bella and Michael: Both single

While things appeared to be getting serious between Michael and Bella, the couple soon found out they were not meant to be, with the business owner saying it was their conflicting lifestyles that contributed to the end of their relationship.

"We just had two completely different lifestyles," Michael said.

"She's a natural extrovert, and I'm actually an introvert. I would happily stay at home, and she would definitely not," he added.

Despite this relationship not working out, Michael said he has recently started dating again.

And it seems the former pair are on the same page, with Bella also giving the same reasoning on why they didn't work out.

"It just didn't work out," the radio announcer said.

"We have two different lifestyles. But he's amazing, and I just wish all the best for him and hope that he finds his true love."

Things between the pair got serious early on, with both of them saying the "Love you", unfortunately this didn't mean it was lasting love.

"We went in pretty hard and fast and gave it everything we had. Then we got back to our normal lives. It's very different when you're being filming versus not being filmed," Bella added.

"I think I was a little selfish before, but definitely going into any relationship now, I know 100 percent, it's not just about me," Bella said about her return to the dating scene.

"It's about the other person and what they want, and our lives together."

Monica and Mark: Both single

Despite establishing a good connection to start with, Mark said their drama-free relationship didn't mean they were always going to last.

"It just basically comes down to a lot of what we bonded over and a lot of what we sort of created our relationship about was the TV show," the 30-year-old said.

"Once the experiment finished, we didn't really have as much in common as we really wanted to have in common."

"We never argued," he added when asked about their break-up.

"We never actually had a disagreement. We always got along, but you need to be more than just get along. You need to really build on that, and we really didn't go any further."

He's gotten back into the single life with ease saying "Going to the gym, going to work, hanging out with friends and family" are his current priorities.

Meanwhile Monica is on the same page as her "ex" when reflecting on their time together.

"We both went into it with very good intentions…[but] when the cameras stopped rolling, I think it was very clear that we were better just as friends," the 28-year-old said.

While they caught up a few times after filming, they split amicably shortly afterwards.

"I still have a lot of respect for Mark, and I think he's a great person."

Monica also added she's excited to get back into the swing of dating again.

"I definitely have interest, but I haven't been dating anybody yet. I'm very single," she revealed.

"I'm really hoping that even though this didn't work out with Mark, that somehow maybe Prince Charming is out there watching the show and he gets a glimpse of me and contacts me afterwards!"
