Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are legit eyeing a collab

Yep, our inner noughties kid just official lost its chill, because Justin Timberlake has revealed he's on for a collaboration with his ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears! Yep, no jokes.

The couple called it quits in 2002, killing our belief in love, romance, butterflies and the virtues of not having sex before marriage in one fell swoop.

But it seems the wounds have finally healed with Britney holding out the olive branch, and JT accepting. Yeah buddy!

When recently asked by Most Requested Live with Romeo who she'd most like to collaborate with, Brit played it cool, replying, "Aerosmith... Gwen Stefani, I think she’s great. Justin Timberlake is very good."

Then when E! News took it back to JT, he almost lost his chill as much as we did.

"She did? Sure! Absolutely!" he gushed, before apologising for missing Britney's shout-out in the first place.

"I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news," he said. "I apologize for not being in the know…I'm accessible, give us a call!"
