The Bachelor: Bookies are taking bets on how long Alex and Richie will last

Within minutes of Richie Strahan choosing Alex Nation as his reality TV girlfriend on The Bachelor, the bookies already were questioning the life span of the relationship.

So, how long will they last? A month? Two months? A year?

Sportsbet.com.au are already asking punters that very question on their betting site.

Punters were given the options of less than one month, 1 - 2.99 months, 3 - 5.99 months, 6- 11.99 months and one year or longer.

Most people have placed their bets on the “less than one month” category that is currently sitting at $3.50, closely followed by both 6 - 11.99 and one year or longer, with both sitting at $4.00.

But judging by what Richie said on radio this morning, the relationship could have a bit more staying power than the punters are predicting.

In a complete overshare of information, Richie revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that he had the "biggest blue balls in Australia" before he and Alex shared their first night of passion together. Erm, eww.

Richie admitted it was a relief to finally be able to spend a night with the 24-year-old after months of built up tension.

"There was so much built up tension, three months of having the biggest blue balls in Australia. To get to the finale was great!" Richie told The Kyle and Jackie O show on Friday morning.

Talk about TMI!

In another complete overshare, the rope access technician also revealed that the new couple wasted no time in getting busy between the sheets after the cameras stopped rolling.

"There was a funny story. After the finale we got dropped back to villa and the moment we got back [to our room] we just looked at each other ... the camera crew were trying to leave," he said while Alex then added that while the moment was "intense" they still "shared a few laughs."

The WA-based Bachelor also recalled the special moment that he shared with Alex that made him see how deep his feelings were for the single mother.

"There was this moment [we shared], it was just unreal. We were in a private spot and we shared our second kiss," Richie said.

"After she kissed me, I just looked away at the cameraman and said "holy shit!" 15 out of 10. I just thought "she’s got me here." Obviously there's more to it but [the kiss] was definitely a beautiful moment."

Richie's decision to pick Alex over Nikki Grogan during last night's finale as received mixed reactions from fans of the show, with many disappointed that the 28-year-old was sent home.
