Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt

After twelve years and six children, Angelina Jolie had decided to end her marriage to Brad Pitt, filing for divorce on Monday.

Citing irreconcilable differences as the reason, the court documents reportedly state they've been separated since September 15, just over two years and one month after they tied the knot in August 2014.

Ange has asked for joint custody of their kids Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, but wants solo physical custody with Brad allowed visitation rights.

Her longtime manager Geyer Kosinki told E! News: "Angelina is doing what's best in the interest of taking care of her children. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."

Whilst entertainment attorney Robert Offer added in a statement: "Angelina has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."

The 41-year-old actress reportedly decided to end the couple's marriage as she was "extremely upset" by how Brad was parenting their children.
