Angelina and Brad's marriage a 'complete sham'

It seems EVERYONE has an opinion on the Brangelina split.

But perhaps the most explosive claims come from investigative journalist Ian Halperin, who maintains Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie faked their relationship for fame.

Ooooh controversial.

Sam Armytage interviewed Ian on Sunrise, and in the segment, the reporter said their marriage was staged from the get-go.

Ian says he's questioned more than 1000 people close to the couple and that those interviewed were well aware their marriage was a sham.

"The people I interviewed, even today, say this relationship was false from the get go. It was a complete sham," he said.

"They wanted to create a brand bigger than any couple we have seen in Hollywood, to generate millions and millions of dollars in revenue and to be the biggest thing on the cover of tabloids and glossy magazines every week."

Ian also implied Brangelina had an open marriage.

"There was a lot of extra-curricular activity going on in that household because they were rarely together," he explained.

"When they were apart, yes, things were going on but it was mutually agreed on and there were no questions asked and it was basically what goes on there stays there, and they had this agreement for years."

He also said Angelina instigated the divorce to further her own agenda of working in the UK.

"I know this couple better than anybody," he revealed.

"It’s Angie Jolie. She’s a woman with an agenda, she wants to leave the United States, she wants to work in the UK, she wants to get in the House of Lords, she has a non-profit foundation there. She has her sets sight on England."

Ange filed for divorce from Brad on Monday for 'the health of her family', two years after the couple wed at their French estate Chateau Miraval.

The pair have six children together - 15-year-old Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.
