Angelina Jolie 'blocks Brad Pitt's phone numbers'

Angelina Jolie has reportedly blocked Brad Pitt's phone number as reports emerge the A-lister is being "consoled" by Johnny Depp.

The Maleficent star is said to have chosen to ignore any contact from her estranged husband after she filed for divorce from him earlier this week.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Angelina has blocked all incoming text messages and also Brad's numbers."

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that the 52-year-old actor has been left "completely devastated" by his divorce.

An insider shared: "He is beside himself and has been crying. He was completely caught off guard and blindsided and had no idea she would do this.

"Angelina filed the court papers a minute before the courts closed on Monday night. He didn't have a lawyer or anything. She had threatened divorce in the past but he did not think she would file this time. He is completely devastated and beside himself. He is a shattered man.

"He's extremely upset. But he is totally focused on just being helpful and making sure his kids are doing as well as possible."

What's more, Brad is reportedly disappointed that the split had to "play out publicly".

A pal added: "He is emotionally torn. Right now, he is devastated. He still loved Angelina and would have preferred they fight to make the marriage work.

"He was willing to do whatever it took to save the marriage and didn't know Angelina had already given up on it. He has wanted to protect the children. He didn't want it to play out publicly."

Angelina, 41, filed for divorce from Brad last week, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The By The Sea actress is seeking joint legal custody but sole physical custody of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Angelina is now reportedly "seeking sanctuary" with the kids at a luxe mansion in Malibu, Entertainment Tonight reports.

A source told the outlet the family moved into the rental last Monday, before news broke of the shock breakup that same day.

"Angelina is devastated that it has come to this, but will do everything in her power to protect her family," a source told Us Weekly.

The family previously split their time in LA between Brad's properties in Los Feliz and Malibu.

Now, mum-of-six Angelina has reportedly hired Johnny Depp's divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, to fight her case in court.

A source for The Sun said: “Angelina idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set.

“There were rumours then that she was tempted by him, because it was around then she told a magazine fidelity wasn’t ‘absolutely essential.’

“With both Brad and Johnny’s then wife Vanessa Paradis on set, nothing was going to happen.

“But the two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny’s break up with Amber.

“There’s no suggestion that their closeness played any part in Angelina and Brad’s split.

“But they have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny’s lawyer to represent her based on the advice that he has given her.

“Her friends are now speculating about what could happen between them if she and Brad are not reconciled and their divorce goes through.”
