Inside Brad and Ange's honeymoon from hell

After 10 years and six kids together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally tied the knot at their French chateaux in 2014.

But even on their honeymoon - which they ironically spent in Malta filming a movie in about a fractured couple, titled By The Sea - the cracks were starting to show.

A new report claims that during their time on the island, the divorcing pair barely talked, leaving Brad to spend his spare time alone, drinking a beer or two in local bars.

“They hardly spoke when they were together,” a source tells People magazine, explaining that when the weekend came, they would both jet off on separate business trips.

"[They] were quite distant," the insider adds.

And even when they were both in the same place, the friend says Brad would always be alone.

“He would be very quiet and just keep to himself,” says the source. “Angelina was never with him.”

“It was not a honeymoon."

Meanwhile, Brad is reportedly in 'bad shape' since Ange filed for divorce two weeks ago, and has been making emotional phone calls to his mum.

"He can’t believe this is what his life has become, and he’s in bad shape, but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto," a source told Us Weekly.

"He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mum has been talking to him constantly."

Angelina, 41, filed for divorce from Brad in September citing "irreconcilable differences".

Since then, it's been claimed her decision was sparked because Brad behaved 'violently' towards his eldest son Maddox, 15, during a fight he was having with Ange.

Brad denies all claims of abuse and a temporary custody agreement has been put in place, giving Brad visitation rights.

On top of the monitored visit, the Fight Club star will also be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, although TMZ has reported his first testing came out negative for having any substances in his system.
