EXCLUSIVE: Bachelorette’s Ryan tells Be: ‘Sam was a w****er’

Don’t hold back, Ryan!

Yesterday Ryan said goodbye to The Bachelorette after Georgia Love sent him home without a rose, but it seems the Heath Ledger look-a-like was happy to get out of the mansion!

In an explosive interview with Be, the 28-year-old reveals what it was really like being rejected on national television, what goes on behind-the-scenes and living with competitive models Sam and Rhys....

“Watching myself yesterday was interesting,” Ryan admits. “I talked to Georgia a lot more than it was showed, but we hadn’t had the time just us two.

“I think when I didn’t get a rose, I was sad, but I was sadder about leaving the boys.”

Burn! Ryan may not have left the house with a lady but he says he's made some good mates.

“When they told me to say goodbye to the boys, they all looked like they were going to cry, I was like, ‘Come on boys, don’t make it harder’.

"I got along with Courtney with the best. All the guys I got along with well..."

And while Ryan says he formed many bromances in the house, he admits he didn’t get along with electrician / model Sam at the start.

“Sam initially was the guy I didn’t like the most, I couldn’t get my head around some of the things he said,” Ryan reveals.

“I said to him, ‘When I first met you, I thought you were a w*nker!’

“But there are reasons he’s the way he is. He’s actually a top bloke. He says it how it is. Sometimes he doesn’t think about how he says it though. He’s the Keira of the house.”

Plus, Ryan says Sam and Rhys were more interested in competing against each other than in winning Georgia’s affection.

"The rivalry was real. They’re quite similar. They’ve both got similar qualities," he continues.

"It’s a bit intimidating at the start. I suppose we’re all apples and oranges no point comparing. Some guys have got lower self-esteem, it explains their behaviour. I think Rhys is an interesting guy, there’s definitely a softer side to him.

"He doesn’t mean to come off so awkward sometimes, I sort of felt sorry for him than found him annoying. He’s not hurting anyone."

Ryan says after the experience he's realised that finding love on TV is not for him!

“My sister nominated me for the show, so I had no idea what to expect. It was super fun. I’d never watched the show [The Bachelor or The Bachelorette] before, so I wasn’t sure what was going on,” he says.

“I was trying to figure it all out. Some of the guys would do things that were a bit dramatic and I couldn’t work out whether they would do it in real life or just for the show.”

And if they bring over Bachelor in Paradise to Australia (a spin-of show with former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants), Ryan says he definitely won’t be appearing on it!

“I would not do Bachelor in Paradise!” he adds. “I’d do reality TV again, but maybe something with a little more meaning….”

My Kitchen Rules?

“I’d like to be a good chef,” he jokes. “But I’m not.”
