Gwyneth Paltrow ‘mediating’ between Brangelina

Brad Pitt has reportedly turned to his ex Gwyneth Paltrow in the wake of his split from Angelina Jolie!

According to RadarOnline, the Shakespeare in Love actress wants to help smooth things out between them for the sake of their kids.

Gwyneth, who dated Brad between 1994 and 1997, is apparently hoping to serve as a “mediator” , given she had such an amicable 'conscious uncoupling' from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin back in 2014.

“She’s egotistical enough to think he’ll want her advice about consciously uncoupling from Angelina,” spills a source.

“It’s a goodwill gesture on her part."

Gwyneth is said to have stayed friendly with her ex and appeared alongside Angelina in the 2004 movie Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow.

Yesterday, it was reported that Brad had finally been reunited with his six kids.

According to PEOPLE, the Fury actor was recently allowed to see his children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight - for the first time in just under a month, because his estranged wife Angelina Jolie was granted temporary custody after she filed for divorce from him on September 19.

“Brad has spent some wonderful time with children recently,” spills a source.

“Brad loves his children more than anything in this world, and they matter more than anything else to him.

"He will do whatever it takes to be with them, now and always.”

The L.A. Department of Children and Family Services has maintained an open investigation following allegations Brad was verbally abusive and got physical with their oldest son, Maddox, during a fight on the family’s private plane - so according to the insider, both Angie and Brad agreed for a therapist to be present when he met with his children for the first time.

Angie, 41, requested sole physical custody of their six children in her divorce filing with visitation for Brad, but he is seeking shared custody.

Until the DCFS recommended plan ends on Oct. 20, both Brad and Angie will undergo individual counselling, along with family therapy. Brad will also continue voluntary drug and alcohol testing and the therapist will then be able to decide whether or not the actor can visit his children unsupervised for subsequent visits.

Brad is allegedly in "bad shape" since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from him two weeks ago.

The 52-year-old has reportedly been in constant communication with his mum because he's so distressed.

"He can’t believe this is what his life has become, and he’s in bad shape, but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto," a source told Us Weekly.

"He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mum has been talking to him constantly."

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in September citing "irreconcilable differences".

After the shock announcement, reports that Brad physically and verbally abused his eldest son, Maddox came out - claims which Brad has denied.

Angelina reportedly doesn't want Brad to be prosecuted for child abuse allegations, and has threatened to go "radio silent" if Brad is charged, according to TMZ.

On top of the monitored visit, the Fight Club star will also be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, although TMZ has reported his first testing came out negative for having any substances in his system.

Brangelina were together for 12 years, and married for two, after meeting on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
