Georgia Love shares her views on marriage equality
The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love has expressed her views on the $160 million plebiscite.
In a recent interview, the 27-year-old expressed her support for marriage equality in Australia by calling on the government to legalise same-sex nuptials without the costly ballot.
“I don’t think there even should be a plebiscite,” she told the publication. "I think it should’ve been done and dusted well before now.
“It’s abhorrent that we don’t have gay marriage legalised in this country.”
Australia is the only developed, English-speaking nation on earth that still refuses to allow same-sex couples to marry.
And Ellen DeGeneres, Margot Robbie and Kylie Minogue are just some of the many celebs not willing to let it slide.
Kylie revealed last week that she refuses to get hitched to her partner Joshua Sasse until everyone else can wed Down Under.
Kylie and Josh revealed their fight for same-sex marriage to be legalised in Australia, after launching the “Say I Do Down Under” campaign last week.

“When I found out that gay marriage was illegal in Australia, I was astounded," Josh said. "We will not get married until this law has passed in Australia."
Since then, stars like Ellie Goulding and The Veronicas are getting onboard the campaign on social media..
