Tim Robards says 'it's about time' to propose to Anna Heinrich!

They were the first couple to find love on The Bachelor Australia three years ago and we've been left wondering when we will see Tim Robards pop the question to girlfriend Anna Heinrich.

But now speaking to Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 1065, Tim has admitted it's getting "about that time" to drop to one knee!

"It's three years on, I think it's probably getting about that time," Tim told the radio hosts.

"I know where I would probably go to get it. I know what she likes. I need to steal one of her other ones to find out the size," he added when pressed by Kyle about the ring details.

The handsome chiropractor also explained the reason why he hasn't rushed marriage since appearing on the reality series.

"Coming off a show like that people love seeing the fantasy and the fairytale. For us, we just wanted to come out and make it real. You can't do what everyone else is telling you to do. It's probably why I didn't jump in after six months and say 'Okay let's do this.'"

Tim and Anna recently celebrated their three year anniversary, with the fitness enthusiast saying he gave his lawyer girlfriend more of an "experience" than a present.

"We went to Manly to the sealife centre and went diving with the sharks which was pretty cool. She really liked it, it was great," he said.

He also admitted he found himself watching "bits and pieces" of Richie Strahan's recent season of The Bachelor and has tuned into The Bachelorette and made one big revelation about his time on the show!

"I think I did the guys in because I was the first to say 'Right now overnight dates' and I think they had to follow suit so I think I screwed it up for everyone," Tim said jokingly.

"But looking back, you haven't had sex for three months and you're like 'Do I, do I not?' but looking back I'm glad I didn't because Anna would kind of be like 'Sooo...'"

"It was bloody challenging, huge days, 18 hours a day in front of the camera. It was challenging and there were little stresses," he added.
