Selena Gomez reportedly ‘checks back into rehab’

Selena Gomez has reportedly checked into rehab "due to crippling anxiety, depression and panic attacks."

According to Us Weekly, the 24-year-old has been receiving treatment at a facility in Tennessee since August, after announcing she would be taking a break from her career commitments.

“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source told the publication.

“She can go to a very dark place.”

Selena cancelled 34 dates on her Revival world tour in late August, with an insider telling People magazine the singer needed to focus on managing the side effects of her lupus diagnosis, which includes depression.

This is the second time the former Disney star has checked into rehab, previously seeking treatment in 2014 a year after diagnosed with the chronic auto-immune disease.

At the time, sources said Selena was “exhausted”, “broken-hearted” and had been “partying very hard” prior to stint in the facility.

It's unclear when Selena will return to the music scene, however she was recently seen at a Tennessee steakhouse with her mother.

“Selena was just like any other guest,” the restaurant’s manager told Us Weekly.

“She was really nice and tipped well.”

The following day she was spotted out again, this time with her grandparents, with witnesses saying she "seemed happy and relaxed” and “was laughing a lot with them while she was eating."

Get well soon Selena!
