Kyly Clarke reveals she iced Michael in high school

Former cricketer Michael Clarke’s wife, Kyly recently revealed she had no idea she went to school with the legendary sportsman.

In an interview with 60 Minutes, Kyly opened up about her relationship with Michael and how she didn’t know who the former Test captain was during their high school years at Westfield Sports in Sydney’s Fairfield.

Despite Kyly not knowing who Michael was, the handsome cricketer had always had his eyes on the brunette beauty.

“I asked my best mate to go and ask for her number,” he said.

“Kyly didn't approve of that and said 'If Michael wants my number he can come and ask'.

“After she told me she didn't know who I was, had no idea we went to school together and wouldn't give my best mate her number, I was more than happy to go to the Seven Eleven and get myself a meat pie and take off home,” he added.

Years later after Michael split from ex-fiancé Lara Bingle, Kyly made a move on her now husband via Twitter.

'I'm like he's hot, I like him we get along really well,' she explained.

“I had no idea [about cricket]. I understood that there was eleven people on each side and my lucky number is eleven and I though this is a match made in heaven,” she said.

The couple wed in 2012 and now share daughter Kelsey, who is just shy of her first birthday in November.
