Kanye shares emotional flashback on Kim's birthday

She's been silent on social media since her terrifying Paris robbery ordeal, but that hasn't stopped family and friends rallying around Kim Kardashian West on her 36th birthday.

Husband Kanye West shared an emotional flashback video, taking to Twitter to wish his wife a happy birthday.

"Happy birthday babe," he wrote before posting a video montage that featured never-before-seen childhood moments between Kim and her famous siblings.

Kim's mother Kris Jenner and late father Robert Kardashian feature heavily in the clip that shows many of the star's most adorable moments growing up.

The music to Yeezy's song Only One also plays in the background of the video.

Kris had posted a similar flashback video and a collage of pictures wishing her second-born daughter a happy birthday.

"Happy Birthday to my precious Kimberly! @kimkardashian I love and adore you... you have brought so much joy into all of our lives and you are the most wonderful daughter, wife, sister, friend and mom," she wrote on Instagram.

"I thank God every day he blessed me with you and I cherish every single moment and memory. My heart is full of gratitude and I love you more than you will ever imagine or know... Mommy xo."

Other member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan also shared photos in honour of Kim's birthday, with Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall all posting to social media as well we step-mother Caitlyn Jenner.

Friends also rallied around the mother-of-two with Chance the Rapper, Ellen DeGeneres and BFF Jonathan Cheban all wishing Kim a happy birthday.

Kim's birthday comes at a particularly stressful time after she was held at gunpoint and then bound and gagged while thieves stole $11 million worth of jewels during a trip to Paris.

Since the ordeal Kim has only been spotted in public twice and has kept off social media, with Kris recently revealing how the reality star would be spending her birthday.

"Kim's birthday is going to be a very quiet celebration this year. She has no plans on making a big bash. She will have an intimate birthday with her immediate family," she told E! News.
