Chris and Elsa 'on a break', set to split?

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have been our #CoupleGoals since they fell in love in 2010.

But now, according to Woman's Day, the 33-year-old actor's marriage to Elsa, 40, is said to be on the verge of collapse, with the pair supposedly living separate lives. Noooo!

"They've decided they need space," a source claims to the magazine. "And they've been taking a little break from each other."

Eyebrows were apparently first raised when Elsa jetted off to her home in Spain - along with their kids - India, four, and two-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha - despite the fact that Chris had managed to secure a rare gig on his home turf, filming Thor: Ragnarok in the Gold Coast.

"He's away again in November," the source tells. "So you might think Elsa would want to be there to spend every moment with him, not go away without him."

What's more, the mag points the finger at the increasing number of boys nights out Chris has been having, cheering on the Western Bulldogs in recent AFL grand final, and partying in Melbourne with his brother Liam, 26, and Sunrise host Samantha Armytage, while Elsa was nowhere to be seen.

So what gives? With Chris's gushing online tributes to his wife said to have ceased, the insider reckons he might be starting to regret getting married at 27, after just months of dating.

Indeed, Chris admits they rushed to the alter in 2010.

"There was no great plan to any of it, to be honest," he's previously said.

"We were on holiday and we said 'why don't we get married too?' And then the next minute..."

Chris had only ever had one other serious girlfriend prior to meeting Elsa, having dated Aussie actress Isabel Lucas for three years.

Elsa was previously linked to Olivier Martinez and Adrien Brody.
