Kate Fischer slams claims she 'sold out' with lingerie shoot

James Packer's ex Kate Fischer stunned fans when she stripped down for New Idea’s magazine this week.

The former model now known as Tziporah Malkah, received backlash for her old name being used on the cover of the mag and not her new name that reflects her new identity.

The 42-year-old took to her Facebook page to confront her critics:

“I've received criticism that my old name was used on the cover of New Idea magazine instead of my new legal name Tziporah. Apparently I'd have had "more credibility" if my new name was on the cover," she wrote.

Tziporah agreed to appear in New Idea’s latest issue sporting sexy lingerie to send a message to women of all shapes and sizes that “You don’t need to be skinny to be sexy.”

The former actress told her Facebook fans she didn’t realise the response from the risqué spread would be so huge and that she feels her fans need time to adjust to her name.

“For years I was Kate. Suddenly a decade later there's a name change. And not a minor one, it's not like I'm Tziporah Fischer or Kate Malkah. I'm Tziporah Malkah. It's very different and not everybody follows the media 24/7/52 so let's all have some patience while ppl get used to the idea of having to remember my new name,” she continued.

Once a nineties ‘it’ girl, the curvy brunette understands her mag shoot may have offended some fans and apologised to them.

“Again, sorry if I offended anyone- however for those of you who feel that passionate about it please feel free to contact New Idea magazine and express your concerns directly to them, before accusing me of "selling out". Shalom!” she said.

In the article the Melbourne resident said "Ok, at the moment I'm fat! Get over it!"

Looking happy in her skin, she said she only had good intentions for doing the spread.

“If I can inspire other women by doing a shoot like this myself, then great! she told the mag.
