Aussie man charged with attempted murder over stabbing at Miranda's home

An Australian man by the name of Shaun Anthony Haywood has been charged after allegedly breaking into Miranda Kerr's home and attacking her security guard.

Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced that the 29-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated mayhem and assault with a deadly weapon.

Haywood is accused of hopping the fence at Miranda Kerr's Malibu home on October 14, and stabbing her security guard in the face.

The security guard is claimed to have retaliated by shooting the intruder multiple times.

Haywood allegedly tried to break into the model's home so he could deliver her a letter, prosecutors claim. Miranda was not home at the time.

He is due to appear in court later today, and if convicted, could face life in prison.

"Flynn's safety is her top priority," a source tells NW Magazine. "She no longer feels safe in the house.

"She's making plans to move back to Sydney for at least the next few months. It's the one place she feels comfortable."
