Has James Packer split up with Mariah Carey?

James Packer has allegedly dumped his fiancé Mariah Carey.

In an explosive article on Woman’s Day, the Aussie tycoon is said to have allegedly walked away from the Honey singer ahead of her new reality TV show.

“It’s all over, a source reportedly tells the publication.

“James had huge reservations about Mariah’s new reality TV show and the fact that she was willing to expose their lives to the world.”

But it’s been claimed that James, 49, has allowed his ex to keep he $19m diamond engagement ring he proposed to her with in January.

This comes after it was revealed the Aussie businessman’s family were finding it hard to get along with Mariah, 46.

Woman's Day reports the mum-of-two refused to attend James’ sister Gretel’s 50th birthday in Sydney, as she has been devoting much of her time to filming for her new show.

“When she refused to come to Australia for Gretel’s birthday party it created a lot of tension in the family,” says the insider.

“His mum [Ros Packer] hated to even hear her name mentioned, and James’ tight circle of friends never really thought they would marry.”

James and Mariah's supposed shock split may explain why Mariah was spending time with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, and their five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, at a Halloween party last week.

However, friends of the songstress say Mariah and James are “head over heels in love with one another.”

"As soon as their friendship turned romantic, they have wanted to spend every moment together," an insider close to the singer revealed.

"They have a connection that is unparalleled; it's been a very beautiful experience for them both. If you spend even five minutes with them, you can't help but believe in true love."
