Uh oh, has Georgia done a Richie?

The Twitterverse is up in arms about the shocking Bachelorette finale, with Georgia Love picking hunk Lee Elliott over fan favourite Matty Johnson!

Poor Matty may have had his heart crushed into a million pieces on national TV...but it was Lee who took all of the Twitter blows.

And then there was this hilarious exchange between a disgruntled viewer and the Queensland Police.

It's very reminiscent of how invested Bachelor fans were after Richie Strahan picked 'clinger' Alex Nation over heartbroken Nikki Gogan.

Maybe somebody should give Matty Nikki's number stat?

Meanwhile, Lee told Be that's he has been keeping this whole thing a secret from his mum this entire time, admitting that his sister and best friend were the only ones privy to the finale outcome.

“I’ve had to keep it a secret how from the people I love the most," he tells Be. "And for me that’s been the toughest thing for the past couple of months.

“It’s been so difficult to keep it from my mother and my grandmother."

In fact, keeping it from his mum was almost impossible.

He says: “My mother called me the other day and she must have read somewhere that [Bachelor] Richie had told his mother – and she’s like, ‘Richie told his mother’.

“And I’m like, ‘You’re not Richie’s mother, sorry. I love you but I don’t want to burden you with that knowledge.’

“When I told her I was going on the show I was like, ‘Listen, you can’t tell anyone this is a secret.’ Two minutes later she’s on the phone to her best friend.

“I was like, ‘Mum, you’re not getting this.’ And she’s like, ‘It’s just Di.’

“And that’s the reason why I’ve relieved her of that burden. My sister and my best mate know and that’s it.”
