After Kanye West ranted about his former BFF Jay Z - for ‘not arranging a play date with their kids’ - it has been claimed that their estrangement may have something to do with their wives.

According to the New York Post, Jay’s missus Beyoncé has “never genuinely liked” Kim Kardashian, and that is why the rappers have ceased hanging out.

“She’s mostly tolerated her because of their husbands’ friendship and [their] mutual friends, like Jennifer Lopez,” an insider reportedly tells the publication.

“She is always a little icy to Kim. The last time they hung out, the minute Beyoncé could leave the conversation, she did. They always have lots of awkward pauses.”

Beyoncé and Jay Z did appear to snub Kim and Kanye’s 2014 Florence nuptials, and multiple sources have been reported that Jay and the Lemonade songstress prefer to keep a lot lower profile than Kimye.

Other publications are reporting that Kanye and Jay’s issues are over Yeezy moving from Tidal to Apple Music.

“Kanye is likely trying to distance himself from Tidal so he can collect a bigger check from Apple,” reveals another insider.

“There will never be a Watch the Throne 2 because Kanye is a nightmare to work with and Jay’s not going to deal with that again.”

But Bey’s rep has called these outrageous claims “ridiculous, to say the least.”
