'My fiancee and soulmate': Packer's love letters to Mariah leaked

Their engagement may be lying in tatters, but as leaked love letters between James Packer and Mariah Carey show, it was real while it lasted.

TMZ has obtained emails between the couple written one month before their ill-fated yacht vacay to Greece, which reportedly ended with a huge argument and their subsequent split.

And the digital odes prove that before the row, the billionaire and the diva's love was stronger than ever.

“I'm in love with you and can't wait to get married and be together forever,” James wrote in an emotion-packed missive to his future wife.

“There's a song I'm listening to now that's got lots of meanings and I hope it makes u smile. When you get caught between the moon and New York City best that you can do is fall in love," he added, referencing the track Arthur's Theme from 1981 movie Arthur.

And that's not all! According to TMZ, he was such a romantic that he'd already started calling Maz by her married name.

“Will U marry me soon MCP pls -:)))))” he wrote as an abbreviation of Mariah Carey Packer!

"All my love, laughter, light, respect and appreciation and admiration,” the casino mogul continued. “Thank you my fiancee and soulmate."

TMZ reports Mariah even him a Cartier wedding band for his birthday one week before the fight in paradise.

The emails come on the back of reports that Mariah is demanding a Los Angeles mansion from her ex to compensate for uprooting her and her two kids’ lives in New York to be with him in California.

She allegedly also wants to keep her $10million engagement ring and is demanding a $50 million payout.

The entertainment news site claim Mariah and James’ bust up festered after Tommy Davis - the former chief spokesperson for the Church of Scientology - told Packer to cut down on excessive spending, alluding to Mariah’s unusually large purchases.

Tommy and Mariah’s manager Stella Bulochnikov reportedly butted heads over the issue, causing fractures in Mariah and James’ relationship.
