Sophie Monk confirms she's single after ex accused of 'sexting'

Fans hoped Sophie Monk had finally met her man when she stepped out with former Parramatta Eels player, Eric Grothe, earlier this month.

But it all came crashing down on Monday when Woman's Day sensationally claimed he's been sending sexy texts to another woman!

And her long-time mate Kyle Sandilands decided to get to the bottom of it on this morning's Kyle and Jackie O Show, giving her a call to find out what the go is - at which point, Sophie confirmed they're no longer dating.

"False alarm, I don't have a boyfriend," Sophie told the show, adding that she's been on and off with the former Parramatta Eels player for a few years now.

"He can text anyone... Go for it. I've just gotta start doing it - I don't know how to sext...I'd be like, 'I'm wearing ugg boots right now.'"

She also insisted she hadn't seen the reports.

"I only read things that make me feel good," she added. "I live in a delusional bubble - it's great."

And the 36-year-old, who was previously engaged to Benji Madden until they split in 2008, also opened up about her single status, explaining she's 'too tired' to date.

"I'm just not good at relationships," she said. "I often do the dumping...I don't know what it is - I think I work a lot and travel."

Woman's Day claimed this week that Eric had been chatting up a 24-year-old woman on social media.

According to the magazine, the woman alleged that he sent her "explicit messages" - and suggested they meet in person.

"Initially his messages were friendly and flirty, then they changed," the woman - who claims Eric contacted her late one night in early October - is quoted as saying.

"On the night of the NRL Grand Final on October 2nd, he started sending me sexual messages and was pressuring me to meet him in the city," further accuses the woman, stating that he made no mention of his rumoured girlfriend, Sophie.

"It doesn't matter if she was dating a regular person or a celebrity, no man should do that behind a woman's back," she added.
