Pregnant Janet Jackson finally breaks silence on Twitter

Known for keeping her personal life private, Janet Jackson has finally taken to social media to update fans on her pregnancy.

The 50-year-old singer, who’s expecting her first child with husband Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Manna, 41, thanked her fans on Twitter for being patient about her absence on the account lately.

“Hey you guys.. It's been awhile.. but I'm still listening.. I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I'm doing well.. Al Hamdu lillah,” the All For You hitmaker tweeted yesterday.

Janet’s 3.38million followers were over the moon to see the star appear on Twitter for the first time in three months and hear that she was healthy and in good spirits.

Her fans obviously missed her a lot because they went wild in the comments section thanking the mum-to-be for her surprise return to Twitter and wished her the very best for the birth of her future child.

"I am glad that all is well with you. I wish nothing but the best for you. Can't wait for your bundle of joy xoxo,” one fan commented.

“Glad you're well. Keep shining Queen! Enjoy these well deserved blessings on your life. We love you!” another wrote.

Some fans were shocked that the Rhythm Nation singer had made posted for the first time since August 26 and wanted to let her know they missed her dearly.

“I'm still like...Oh my, Janet just tweeted,” one fan tweeted in disbelief.

“Honestly though, I missed YOU We all missed you! Hope you're getting enough rest, we will still be here when you get back,” another commented.

The younger sister of the late Michael Jackson first sparked pregnancy speculation when she postponed her world tour in April, explaining she and her husband were “planning our family.”

In mid-October Janet went public, debuting her baby bump in People magazine, revealing she and Wissam “thank God for our blessing.”

Shortly after her mag shoot, the singer was spotted covered up from head-to-toe in what appeared to be full Islamic dress, a far cry away from the racy stage outfits Janet once favoured.

Some news outlets have suggested the singer may have converted to Islam after tying the knot with Wissam in 2012.

It’s believed Janet is in her third trimester and is due to give birth to her first child very soon.
