Mum of Brad and Ange's adopted son 'wants him back'

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's tough year just got even more complicated.

A new report by New Idea is claiming that the pair, who are currently working through a divorce, have now been hit with a new crisis involving their adopted son Pax.

According to the mag, the 12-year-old's biological mother is now making a desperate bid to be reunited with her son.

The woman, who is still in prison in Vietnam, had to give up Pax due to her incarceration.

And now, Brad, 52, and Ange, 41, are said to be terrified that they'll have to give back their second-eldest child.

"This is Brad and Ange's worst nightmare," a source tells New Idea.

"This is exactly what they've been dreading for years - that the biological parents of Maddox, Pax or Zara would come forward and try to take back their children," the source adds.

The mag further claims that Ange and Brad, who adopted Pax from Vietnam's Tam Binh orphanage in 2007, aren't going to give up without a fight.

"They'll fight it of course," the source adds. "But with everything going on with the split, this is the last thing they need."

According to the report, this happens often at the orphanage, where "most of the children are kids of prisoners."

Orphanage worker Nguyen Kim Xuyen tells New idea: "They take the mother to the hospital to give birth, then take her back to jail while her kid comes here."

Nguyen adds that Ange hasn't returned to the Ho Chi Minh City facility since adopting Pax.

This report comes after Angelina made her first public appearance since filing for divorce from Brad Pitt in September.

In a recorded video message for the International Criminal Court, the actress spoke out a few days ago in support of a recent policy regarding children.

"Successful prosecution and new legal benchmark, whether at the ICC or elsewhere, is a part of the long and vital generational effort," she said. "That is the light in which I believe the court's new policy on children should be seen."

It appears it's business as usual for Ange after the Department of Child and Family Services recently cleared Brad Pitt of child abuse allegations.

"Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their eight-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal," the statement read.

Earlier this month, Brad filed his response to Ange's divorce petition, requesting joint custody of the children.

However, just a few days earlier a source told ET that the former couple had spoken directly and agreed to their own temporary custody arrangement for the time being.

Brad seemed to be in high spirits after the DCFS investigation had concluded, as he made his first red carpet appearance since the split at the LA premiere of his new film, Allied, earlier this month.
