Shanina throws shade after missing VS show

She missed out on walking in the 2016 Victoria Secret's runway show and now Shanina Shaik has shared a cryptic message a day after the annual event.

The 25-year-old Australia model shared a photo of sign that read "You are exactly where you need to be" and giving her own approval to the message, simply writing "exactly" in the caption.

Although she auditioned for the 2016 runway show and was seen leaving callbacks in late October, Shanina missed out on a spot in the star-studded line up, with fellow Australians Bridget Malcolm and Kelly Gale making the cut.

Shanina had previously starred on the catwalk for the iconic lingerie label, walking in the 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 shows.

Earlier in the week she and fiancé DJ Rukus were seen attending an event, with the model looking happy in the days leading up to the Paris show.

Although she didn't return to the runway herself, Shanina did congratulate fellow model pal Jas Tookes, when it was announced she would be wearing 'Fantasy Bra' this year.

However Shanina's mother Kim added a cryptic message of her own at the time, commenting on the snap saying her daughter shouldn't be discouraged and to look forward to future opportunites.

"@shaninamshaik never allow one door closed to discourage you to step outside and seek other opportunities ahead," Kim wrote.

"Never allow people to make you feel less cause you're far from less, you're amazing! I'm forever proud of the person you are and how far you've come....I'm always right beside you to guide and support you, to achieve what ever goals you wish to pursue #alwaysgotyourback#alwaysawinnerinmyeyes."
