#TBT When Kim was Paris' help

It's hard to believe, but once upon a time Kim Kardashian was Paris Hilton's former shadow, following her famous BFF around to events and even making a brief appearance on The Simple Life.

And now a photo from ten years ago has surfaced of an Aussie journalist posing with Paris, and it was taken by non other than Kim!

"Kim was dressed down, it was the era of Juicy trackies,” celebrity journo Olivia O’Brien tells Be of their meeting at the Royal North Shore Children's hospital in 2006.

“She wasn’t not looking glam at all, she had no makeup.

"She was super short and I just asked her to take the pic because she was the closest person to me."

And while Paris worked the room, Olivia adds that Kim, who was relatively unknown at the time, just stood around waiting for her former pal to finish.

"Paris was there meeting with sick kids while she was in town promoting Bondi Blonde. Kim looked bored just waiting around while Paris was trying to charm everyone."

"There was only three or four people with Paris. Paris's trick is complimenting you on what you're wearing, she did it both times I met her."

Having grown up together in LA, the pair were “always friends”, according to Paris, who appointed Kim as her assistant in the nougties.

Once dubbed the "Queen of the Closet Organising Scene", Kim also had a successful ebay business and would also help her famous friends clear out their wardrobe and sell unwanted pieces online.

The reality star told Player Magazine in 2006 that Paris was the friend most in need of her organisation skills.

“I had to organise and colour-coordinate it, and help her with my styling advice, what she needs to get rid of, what she needs to fill back in, you know, do personal shopping," she told the publication at the time.

"With her, it was mostly getting rid of stuff because she's a compulsive shopper. Now, her garage is filled with clothes again. It's overwhelming.”

Sadly, Kim and Paris' friendship ended, with Kim going on to eclipse her former BFF in the fame-stakes.
