The Veronicas' blonde ambition

Some say blondes have more fun, and it looks like The Veronicas took that meaning quite literally on Thursday night, arriving over half an hour fashionably late to a Sydney event.

The 31-year-old singing sisters, Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, swapped their usual dark tresses for cropped, golden wigs, before making an appearance at the new Holden Astra launch soiree.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the girls left partygoers waiting for over 30 minutes, but at least they made quite a style statement upon arrival.

Lisa was seen wearing a black jumpsuit splashed with a white starry print throughout.

Finishing well above the knees, the stylish number was teamed with a sleek black blazer.

Meanwhile her twin sister Jess, who is dating Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Rose, wore a quirky printed blouse teamed with a leather jacket and ripped jeans.

Commenting on their blonde wigs on the night, Jess said: "We like to shock".

"It's just a bit of fun for the party and to celebrate," she added, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Also attending the event were the likes of Maddy King, Bambi Northwood-Blythe and The Bachelor star Keira Maguire.
