Michelle's shade over Melania's gift

It looks like Michelle Obama has won the internet with her incredible reaction towards Melania Trump at the Presidential Inauguration.

Social media users have been quick to put their meme-makers into overdrive, after seeing the seemingly unimpressed look on Michelle's face, when Melania gifts her with a Tiffany & Co box in Washington D.C. on Friday.

"Michelle Obama is not impressed by Melania Trump's gift giving ability," one wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile another penned: "@MichelleObama accepting Melania's gift is all of us coming to terms with Trump's Presidency #Inauguration #fail".

And as for what's in the box, well while it's expected to be something that shimmers and shines, fans have been creative with their guesses.

One even suggested the gesture represented "Melania giving Michelle her speech back".

Meanwhile Michelle also struggled to crack a smile when Donald Trump delivered his speech on the day, and again, her expression didn't go unnoticed online.

One Twitter user wrote: "Michelle's face held all the shade. I love her".

The 53-year-old was by her husband Barack Obama's side on Friday as Donald Trump took power as the 45th president of the United States.

The mother-of-two stunned in a red Jason Wu dress, a contrast to the blue Ralph Lauren number worn by Donald's wife Melania.
