Jesinta takes on Taylor's squad

Taylor Swift is known for her circle of famous female friends, and now Australian model Jesinta Campbell says she's got a squad that could rival the singer's, especially since it also includes Tay's BFF Karlie Kloss.

The 25-year-old former Miss Universe Australia is looking forward to hitting the runway alongside Karlie at the David Jones Autumn/Winter Collection Launch tonight, and says the pair have already formed a close bond, along with fellow DJ's ambassadors Jessica Gomes and Jason Dundas, and model Bridget Malcolm.

"That’s what I was saying, Karlie’s joining our squad and I feel we’ve got just as good a squad as Taylor Swift right?" Jesinta tells Be.

"Me, Jess, Jason, Bridget, Karlie. We’ve got our own squad today."

Opening up about their close bonds, Jesinta says: "We all get ready together and we’re backstage together and we do the show together".

"It’s a really amazing moment when you’re standing there at the finale with all these amazing, hard-working, driven women around you who are really doing it for themselves.

"To have the girls from overseas here walking for David Jones is super exciting. It’s like a family."

Also shedding some light on what she thinks of 24-year-old Karlie, Jesinta says: "She has so much energy considering she just got off a long-haul flight and she’s so down to earth. I

"I was a little bit nervous about meeting her and then as soon as I met her, it was like I was put at ease because she’s just so like this genuinely really great person."

It would be great to hear what Karlie has to say about her inclusion in Jesinta's DJ's squad.

Meanwhile she's openly gushed about her friendship with Taylor and her squad members, telling Vogue: "I’ve met a lot of really great girls through Taylor".

"She’s incredible at connecting people who might not normally meet. We’re all in different jobs, but we’ve become strong friends who are there for each other—a sisterhood of girls, a support team.

"But we’re also just normal 20-something girls, and I think you have to have people that you can be that with. You know, real friends are hard to find—and Taylor’s a real friend. There’s nothing better.”
