In the wake of Kylie Minogue’s split from Joshua Sasse, family friend Peter Ford has revealed Kylie gave Josh “everything”, including money for his hair plug procedure.
Kylie - who confirmed via Instagram on Friday that she and Josh had ended their 12-month engagement - was reportedly desperate for their relationship to work and splurged AUD $13,000 on Josh’s hair implants.
“She’s given him everything. Which is fine to do in a relationship, and she was happy to do that,” the entertainment reporter told KIIS FM radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O yesterday.
“It wasn’t like he was trying to force money out of her. She really wanted this one to work.
“She paid for his hair extensions. He got the plugs put in,” Peter revealed live on-air.
“That’s the ultimate sign of love and dedication and she’s been rewarded like this.”
While 48-year-old pop icon mourns the split from her 29-year-old ex-fiancé, Kylie’s family are reportedly “celebrating” their breakup with Peter revealing Kylie’s younger sister Dannii always thought Josh was “a bulls**t artist"
"They're celebrating! They're thrilled! He was bad news,” he told the KIIS FM presenters.
“Relief is the word," Peter continued.
"They always had concerns. Dannii is like a sniffer dog. She can suss out a bulls**t artist anywhere and she did not like him."
The In Your Eyes singer announced the sad news on her Instagram page on February 3, writing: "Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.
"Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways. We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons."
The superstar reportedly called off their engagement over suspicions Josh has been getting close to Spanish actress Marta Milans, The Sun reports.
Kylie is said to have thrown Josh out of her home in West London, and he is believed to have moved back into his family’s farm house in Leominster, Herefordshire.
"She no longer trusts him," a source told the publication, "She is absolutely devastated, totally heartbroken."
Joshua and 34-year-old actress Marta worked closely on the set of TV drama No Tomorrow in Canada last year.
The couple had been together for just over 18 months and got engaged last February, when Josh popped the question with a antique princess-cut diamond sparkler from 1908.
