“I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family,” the Vogue hitmaker began captioning the image shared with her 8.7m fans.
“I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time.
“Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love!(sic)”
Madonna, who’s sporting a sunny yellow dress, a white cardigan and straw hat in the pic, looks so happy in the family portrait with her two girls by her side.
The lucky twins look adorable in matching blue and white polkadot dresses and must feel blessed to now be able to call the Like A Prayer star their mum.
The exciting news comes just weeks after Madonna denied the rumours of a pending adoption.
She told People magazine in a statement: “I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home.
“The rumours of an adoption process are untrue.”
Yesterday, reports circulated the artist was in fact adopting twin girls from the southeatern African country with a judicial spokesman from Malawi Mlenga Mvula telling AFP: “I can confirm that Madonna has been granted an adoption order for two children.”
The young girls were adopted from Home of Hope orphanage in Mchinji, Malawi.

According to the publication, Madonna and the girls’ birth father were present in the Malawian high court in Lilongwe when the judge granted the singer permission to adopt Stella and Esther.
A government-appointed guardian will travel back to New York with Madonna and her newly adopted twin daughters to make sure Madonna will be able to provide them with a suitable home, before reporting back to the Malawian government.
