Adele drops f-bomb in George tribute

During an emotional tribute to the late singer George Michael, the famously potty-mouthed Adele has stopped the song to start over, saying “f—k” on live TV in the process.

Only Adele could get away with this!

As she performed a heartfelt, stripped-back version of George’s song “Fastlove”, Adele suddenly stopped singing roughly a minute in, and started talking to the band.

“I know it’s live TV, I’m sorry. I need to start again. I f--ked up,” she said in front of the stunned crowd, before apologising profusely. “I’m sorry for swearing, I’m sorry for starting again. I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him.”

Adele is a huge fan of the late singer, who presented her with a BRIT award back in 2012 – which made her burst into tears.

No wonder she was so determined to get the tribute just right.

Clearly the person whose job it is to hit “bleep” wasn’t quick enough for this fast-talking Brit!

The star began the song again and managed to get through it flawlessly, without any more dirty language.

When she won the Grammy for Song of the Year, she apologised yet again, explaining: "I love George Michael, he means a lot to me. I apologise if I offended anyone, anywhere."

Ah, Adele. This is exactly why we love you!
