After landing at the bottom of the leaderboard earlier this week with his seafood fail, My Kitchen Rules "villain" Josh was in sabotage mode during Sunday night's episode when Della and Tully cooked.
The Western Australian contestant was keen to see the girls crash in the kitchen from the get-go, and he wasn't afraid to show it.
But not everyone sitting around the table was impressed with his tact, with contestant Court hitting back at Josh, and telling him he needs "a kick in the shin".
"Obviously [I'm] not pleased with the way we cooked," Josh says at the dinner table.
"We’re at the bottom of the leaderboard and we want the girls to do badly. That’s the only chance I think we’ve got to stay in the competition. We've only got one after this, and we need someone to fail really."
"He is in trouble and he knows that," Court then says in a piece-to-camera.
At this stage, Josh's wife Amy steps in, and says that while her determined husband may be scoring very strategically, she intends to play the game fair and square.
"I don’t know what Josh is going to do but I’ll certainly be scoring the same way as I’ve always done," she tells the fellow contestants.
"We might have a couple of disagreements about scoring but if Amy says five, I say four... it’s going to be a four," Josh then adds.
At this point Court is far from impressed with Josh's statements, and it's safe to say that tensions reach boiling point.
"Where’s you pride if you’re scoring people poorly and overriding your wife and her opinion? Why are you the king in this situation?" she enquires sternly.
"I think people who score strategically need a kick in the shin!"
Cue the awkward cricket sounds in the room, before viewers are shown another piece-to-camera, in which Amy tells Josh: "You better go get some shin pads then love".
As Della and Tully bring out each course, as expected, Josh is very critical.
"To me it was an OK dish. It was pretty much on par with my entré," he says of the main meal.
Speaking of Della, he adds: "I feel like she’s talked a lot about food so I had really high expectations walking into it. She can do better."
When it came to the ultimate scoring, Josh and Amy did disagree, with Josh giving the girls a four, and Amy awarding them a five.
But it looks like the couple came to a compromise and went with Amy's five, on the condition that Josh gets to call the shots at the next instant restaurant, where rivals Alyse and Matt will be cooking up a storm.
It looks like the games are only about to begin!
My Kitchen Rules airs at 7:30pm on Channel Seven.
