MKR Tully's baby surprise

My Kitchen Rules’ Sarah Tully knew she’d be cooking up a storm for celebrity chefs Pete Evans and Manu Feildel. But what she didn’t anticipate was cooking throughout the competition with a little bun in the oven.

Feeling hungry all the time, the Brisbane beauty thought something was up and found out she and her husband Kurt were in fact expecting a baby together.

“I fell pregnant halfway through filming the show,” Della Whearty’s teammate told New Idea.

“My husband Kurt came down for the weekend and poof, I was pregnant!” she said.

The 30-year-old nurse admitted she was shocked when she found out she was going to be a first-time mother.

“My first reaction was: ‘Not now! Now now!’ but Kurt and I have always wanted to do this, and even though it's a little bit earlier than expected, it's a big surprise but a nice feeling,” she said.

Known on the reality TV cooking show as Tully, the Queenslander revealed to the mag she wasn’t sure whether or not she should tell the show’s producers.

“I did end up telling the producers because I was really, really tired and the tiredness was killing me,” the pregnant contestant admitted.

Luckily the crew were very supportive, always making her feel comfortable, feeding her snacks and plenty of water throughout takes.

While it wasn’t easy breaking the news to the cast and crew so early on in the pregnancy, Tully said the hardest part was being away from her husband, whom she tied the knot with in May 2015.

“I missed him a lot. He's so good in these situations I just wanted my husband to be with and tell me everything was going to be OK,” she said.

Tully admits it was tough without Kurt there but thankfully Della was there the whole way, helping her “disguise everything.”

“Anything that was raw I had to stay away from, I'd just pretend to eat it, then shove it over to Della and she'd help me disguise everything!” Tully said.

Finally able to reveal her news with the world, Tully took to Instagram to repost MKR's post congratulating the pair.

"The cat's out of the bag! So happy to be able to share this news with you! #Repost @mykitchenrules," she captioned the image of her posing with Kurt for the mag in a coral dress cradling her burgeoning belly.

The expectant parents are set to welcome their firstborn in July.
