Sad Ange eats spiders
She's finally broken her silence on her divorce from Brad Pitt, tearing up as she insisted they'll "always be family."
And in the same interview, the adventurous actress also proved she's got a stomach of steel by gobbling spiders - a local delicacy in Cambodia, where she's currently staying for the premiere of hew new movie, First They Killed My Father.
The 41-year-old movie star even introduced cooked tarantulas and scorpions to her six children, and opened up about her appreciation for the food in an interview with the BBC.
"I think it’s always been a part of the diet, the bugs, but then I think there is a truth to the survival during the war of course... when people were being starved they were able to survive on things like this and they did.," she said, reflecting on the country's history with this sort of diet.
In the chat, the brunette beauty revealed she prefers consuming some alcohol along with her cooked insects.
"I first had them when I was first in the country. Crickets, you start with crickets," she said.
"Crickets and a beer and then you kind of move up to tarantulas... It's actually really good, the flavour."
Ange is seen introducing the dish to her children, with daughter Shiloh seen digging in without hesitation.
Even the BBC reporter is convinced, telling the actress: "Nice, I can see why you're into this".
"It's hard to chew the scorpion," Angelina admits, though not a moment goes by without a smile on her face.
Earlier in the interview, she finally addressed her divorce from Brad, getting emotional she opened up about the last few months.
"I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family," she tells the BBC.
Ange filed for divorce in September after 12 years together, two of which she and Brad were married, and requested full custody of the couple's six children.
The shock filing came after an alleged incident between the actor and the couple's eldest son Maddox on a private plane. While the Dept. of Children and Family Services investigated the matter, Brad was cleared of any child abuse claims.
In January, Angelina and Brad released their first joint statement amid the custody battle.
With the agenda to protect the privacy of their six children, the former couple's statement given to The Daily Mail read: "The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues".
