A wardrobe malfunction on the Oscars red carpet is the last thing an actress desires, but unfortunately for Blanca Blanco, it was inevitable.

The Teen Star Academy actress arrived at the 2017 Academy Awards, in a floor-length yellow and gold dress that left little to the imagination thanks to an extremely daring side slit.

The brunette beauty opted to wear no underwear for the film industry's night of nights, which meant onlookers were treated to a glimpse of more than expected when she posed for photographers.

Fans were quick to comment on the fashion mishap on social media.

One wrote: "This is a bit too high a slit for me personally..I believe theres been a slight fashion malfunction already for poor Blanca Blanco".

Blanca's gown not only featured a daring split, but also had extravagant shoulder detail on the sleeves to create even more red carpet impact.

She teamed her dress with a pair of sleek black strappy heels, and completed her accessories with a thin gold belt and a bold ring worn on her left hand.

Her brown tresses were pulled back in a stylish updo, while her facial features were accentuated with smokey eye makeup and a slick of neutral lippie.
