MAFS' Anthony: 'Nadia and I have intimacy problems’

Married At First Sight’s Anthony is not one to hold back.

On Tuesday night’s episode, the racing broadcaster argued almost all evening with wife Nadia in front of her friends during their home stay in Brisbane.

It began with the 33-year-old telling the producers: “We've had problems with intimacy.”

But larger issues seemed to arise and boil over before the pair’s dinner on Nadia’s apartment rooftop.

Anthony questioned Nadia’s time management skills, finding issues with her being at the beach in the afternoon instead of being in the kitchen pepping for their dinner party that was to begin five and a half hours later that evening.

"If it was up to me, I'd head straight to the local chicken shop and get two barbeque chickens and a couple of large chips," Anthony says.

But Nadia has other plans, and whips up a delicious home-cooked meal for her closest mates.

Tensions only build more when Nadia’s friends arrive, with Anthony being outnumbered and clearly very uncomfortable surrounded by Nadia’s female friends who are obviously judging him with eagle eyes.

It gets even more awkward when the topic of Nadia’s past relationships springs up. Nadia lets the cat out the bag, sharing with the group stories about her exes and her thoughts on why it never worked out with them.

"After three years of completely not engaging in a relationship properly, I'm at a perfect place to engage and be serious,” Nadia says, adding: “It's not that I don't have options, I have options. But do I want to settle down with a 25-year-old? Not really.”

She continued: “Do I want to wake up in two years with them leaving because they're not ready to commit? Guys will tell you anything they want to get what they want,” she said.

This didn’t seem to sit well with Anthony.

“You went for the wrong blokes, that's your error,” he says. “We don't need to talk about that because you're married to me, I don't need to know your history.”

Speaking to the camera, Anthony brings up their “intimacy problems” again and says:

“In terms of romance and intimacy with Nadia, she's not comfortable with certain things. But from the sounds of it, she's had guys in the past and she had no issues with them.

"And it kind of rubs me the wrong way!" Anthony fumes.

In a preview for Sunday night’s next episode, Anthony is filmed during the commitment ceremony telling Nadia to her face: “For lack of a better word, you've been frigid.”

That’s a little harsh don't you think Anthony!
