Brad and Jen have got big news

It was revealed last week that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are back in touch following his split from Angelina Jolie.

And now it’s emerged that they’re possibly gearing up to turn their friendship into a professional collaboration by starring together in a film.

Jen, in particular, is said to be keen to work with her ex-husband on screen, with Hollywood Life reporting that she considers the joint venture to be “more likely than a Friends reunion.”

“Jen would work with Brad,” says a source. “It would have to be the perfect role and all the stars would have to align, but it’s definitely something that would benefit their careers.”

But don’t expect anything like the Mr & Mrs Smith rom com that fatefully saw Brad fall for Ange, leaving Jen heartbroken.

With Jen happily married to Justin Theroux, the insider insists that any roles they may play will not be romantically linked.

“She has thought maybe it would be easier for them to start something as voices on a future animated film — not characters that would be romantic with each other,” adds the insider.

The exes are believed to have been chatting over text ever since Brad tracked down her mobile number through mutual friends and wished her a happy birthday on February 11.

“They started talking once he wished her a happy birthday,” a source told US Weekly, claiming that he’s since “confided” in Jen.

“Brad told her he’s having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past.”

The Fight Club star is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Angelina, 41, over their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Ange filed for divorce after just two years of marriage following a blow-up fight aboard the family private jet in September.

Brad, 52, was subsequently cleared of child abuse allegations relating to the incident.

For Jen’s part, having initially struggled to get over the heartache of Brad leaving her to shack up with Ange, she’s now happily married to fellow actor and partner of six years, Justin, 45.

However, the insider says Justin’s not threatened by Brad’s sudden re-appearance in Jen’s life.

“Justin is OK with them being friends,” adds the friend, who says he knows “Jen just wants to be nice.”
