Nicole talks sex with Alexander versus Keith

Australian actress Nicole Kidman couldn't hide her embarrassment during a radio interview on Thursday, when asked about her sex scenes with Alexander Skarsgard and her real-life bedroom antics with husband Keith Urban.

Appearing on KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show, the 49-year-old Big Little Lies star was quizzed about her hot and heavy scenes with Alexander in the television drama, and if she compared "gentle" Keith, to her rather strong co-star.

"What was the feedback from your husband Keith Urban during the grinding graphic sex scenes with you and that other clown?" shock jock Kyle Sandilands asked.

"Now no one wants to see their woman with Skarsgard let me tell you that."

Nicole responded, "You are so provocative Kyle!".

When Kyle prompted for a more elaborate response, the actress obliged: "He gets that it’s work.

"When I would come home after shooting it, he was pretty shaken, because it was really tough doing the role and I would get really bruised and battered particularly as it goes along so he was actually emotionally protective," she said.

Kyle then decided to compare Alexander to her real-life musician beau Keith.

"You go home and Keith’s there straightening the hair with the GHDs and you think, Thank god I'm in safe hands now'," Kyle hypothesised.

He continued: "Cause I love Keith. He’s the most manly gentleman. Does that make sense? You know what I mean?"

Nicole responded: "He's special, he's really special".

But Kyle wanted a little more than that, so he then asked: "Did he ever ask you, "Hey is there any part of you that wants me to make love to you like Skarsgard does without the violence?"'.

And that's when Nicole made it clear she wasn't going to kiss and tell any further on air, simply saying, "Stop, moving on".

Nicole plays housewife Celeste Wright in the new television show Big Little Lies, which also stars the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley and of course, Alexander.

She tied the knot with singer Keith in 2006, and the couple share daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
