Georgia slams Bachie choices

He was her runner-up on last year’s Bachelorette, and now Georgia Love has hinted that she’s not too stoked about Matty Johnson being cast as this year’s Bachelor.

In what fans are calling a thinly-veiled swipe at her could-have-been winner, Georgia – who was an unknown when she starred on the show last year – said she thinks Bachie bosses should stop recycling and find fresh talent.

“I’ve enjoyed all the earliest seasons when it’s been an unknown, because I enjoy that part of getting to know The Bachelor and The Bachelorettes themselves along the way,” she told the Daily Telegraph.

“I’m probably biased because I think they made a pretty good decision in me and I wasn’t already known.”

Indeed, 2015 Bachelorette Sam Frost got a second shot at love after being ditched by Blake Garvey on The Bachelor 2014. Last year’s bachie Richie Strahan was a reboot too, having been Sam’s runner up, and then of course, there’s Matty.

The poor guy was left heartbroken when Georgia picked Lee Elliot over him, and his ex reckons he might carry his hurt through to his new gig.

“Matty is in this position where he was the one who was going home alone, and there’s always a bit of a risk that he’ll do that to someone else,” she added.

However, Matty has previously revealed that he’s planning to propose if he meets ‘The One’.

“Normally you’d need more time, but when you know, you know,” he told OK Magazine.

“I’d like a casual wedding. Ideally spring, outside.”

OK also spoke with Matt’s bestie from The Bachelorette, Cameron Cranley, who had even more to spill!

“He falls hard,” he told the publication. “I remember he said, ‘If I like someone, I love her, I’m marrying her and having her kids.’”

As we’ve seen from our daily stalking of Matty’s Instagram, he’s getting plenty of parenting practice by hanging with his nephew George.

“The idea of having kids is something I find so exciting,” he told OK.
