Fans rage at MAFS twins

Married At First Sight twins Sharon and Michelle Marsh have faced a wave of viewer backlash after making their final decisions during Tuesday night's Married At First Sight episode.

Taking to social media, fans have branded Michelle as "shameless" and "fame-hungry" for pursuing a relationship with Jesse right until the end, before ditching him at the final moment.

Meanwhile others have slammed Sharon for "playing" her TV husband Nick, by leading him to think she may break up with him, before eventually admitting he "had her heart".

Viewers were in for quite a dramatic episode on Tuesday night, as the twins decided on their futures.

Jesse took Michelle to a romantic beachside location, and poured his heart out with an emotional speech.

When it was Michelle's turn to respond she took a good four minutes or so to get to the crunch, simply praising her television groom and recounting their experiences, before eventually friend zoning him.

Empathising with Jesse, one fan wrote on Twitter: "Can't believe Michelle took this long to tell Jesse the truth... quest for #fame is shameless".

Another tweeted: "Michelle can't wait to your 15 minutes of fame are over and that door slaps your a** good bye!"

Her twin sister was also on the receiving end of critique, after she told her partner Nick that their "eye opening week" had left her thinking hard and "worried", before telling him she was keen to pursue their romance.

"You tricked me," Nick said, admitting he'd become certain he was being dumped on national television.

One fan's Twitter reaction read, "Wtf Sharon... way to put the wing up the poor guy lol", meanwhile another wrote, "What a hilarious joke, Sharon. To make someone feel ditched on national television".

However the Perth beauties have garnered quite a following since making their first appearance on the Channel Nine reality show, and there are fans who have shown their support for them following the episode.

"Proud of you Michelle. Must of been hard telling Jesse it was over. I love that you handled it with care and what your said was really heartfelt . Good luck for the future and I hope both Jesse and yourself find true love with amazing people," one follower wrote in the comments section of Michelle's most recent Instagram snap.

Meanwhile a comment on Sharon's page read: "Your vows tonight nearly cried just looking at Nick even though it was so obvious your weren't going to leave him! my new favourite couple wishing u both the very best!! Hope you last (sic)".
