Are Jodhi and James rekindling their romance?

Fifteen years after they called it quits on their marriage, Jodhi Meares and James Packer look set to rekindle their romance.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, a reunion between the former lovers – who have remained close friends and confidants over the years – is no longer a question of “if but when”.

“Jodhi has, after all these years, been fiercely loyal to James,” a source tells the publication.

“She can’t turn her back on him – and he has demonstrated his loyalty to her too, by taking her out on his arm and proudly showing her off after her drink driving scandal and particularly ugly breakup with Jon.”

The source is referring to the pair’s 2015 outing when a beaming James, 49, and Jodhi, 45, arrived arm-in-arm at a ritzy charity dinner in Sydney.

It was just two months after Jodhi had ploughed her SUV into three parked cars – her licence was later suspended for 12 months on high range drink driving charges - and less than a year after police were called to her Potts Point home after a domestic altercation with her fiancé of three years, Jon Stevens.

At the time, James was dating Mariah Carey, but their relationship recently ended in spectacular fashion when they called off their engagement last October.

Mariah has since moved on with one of her backup dancers, and James may have sought comfort in his ex.

Jodhi is reported to have been spending time in James’ adopted home city of LA recently, but it is unknown whether they actually met up while she was in town.

It wouldn't be surprising if they had however, as the pair have made no secret of their friendship in the time following their 2002 divorce.

The rumour that Jodhi and James may give their romance another shot hinges on the idea that Jodhi's marriage to 29-year-old photographer Nicholas Tsindos ended earlier this month.

While the couple have not confirmed or denied any breakup speculation, Jodhi shared this photo of Nicholas and their dog to Instagram last week with the caption, "only love for these angels always".

So we might have to make up our own minds on this one.
