MKR 'Angry Man' Tyson's heartache

My Kitchen Rules contestant Tyson Murr has revealed his reputation as the "angry man" of the series has taken its toll on his personal life.

The 26-year-old Uber driver confirms to New Idea magazine that he and girlfriend Tasha split shortly after the Channel Seven cooking show went to air, his partner having struggled with the way he came across on screen.

In January he had told the publication: "It's a bit of a learning curve for her as well... She says it's weird and usually when the ad is on she turns it off and looks away".

From his cold dismissal of Damo and Caz’s dishes in the premiere to his harsh critique of David and Betty’s efforts in episode two, the Queenslander initially showed he wasn't afraid to be brutally honest when it comes to food.
